Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and playing a lead role in influencing the Retail transformation strategy, including forecasting and budgeting, scenario planning, complex modelling, and investment planning.
- Working and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders and their teams from within finance and the RB&M business.
- Contributing to the delivery of the 4-year Financial Plan. Liaise and work with various stakeholders and SMEs in the business to seek input and validation of key assumptions in the plan.
- Extracting and analysing financial data for decision making.
- Utilising analytical capability and business acumen to provide ad hoc financial analysis, as well as provide financial support for RB&M Projects.
- Delivering investment advice and aiding in shaping the structure of costs and realisable benefits.
- Assisting and guiding programs with establishing roadmaps, project prioritisation, setting performance metrics and KPIs, and holding project and programs accountable for delivery of benefits.
- Demonstrating strong commercial acumen in evaluating programs, particularly within an evolving reform environment. Validate key financial assumptions and metrics, as well as be able to identify key investment issues / risks associated with the portfolio’s business cases and be able to make clear recommendations to senior stakeholders regarding program decisions.
- Playing an active role in shaping business cases/scenarios, working closely with business teams to provide guidance and support throughout the business case/scenario development process and ensuring teams engage appropriately across the Enterprise.
- Assisting Program Boards/ Steering Committees/ Project Control Boards to influence and provide active correction if programs begin to fall behind in delivery or benefit realisation.
- Providing analysis, project status commentary and benefit review into Enterprise reporting, Board/Audit & Risk Committee.
- Driving continuous improvement, help identify opportunities in the transformation processes.
