Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position provides reconciliation and other general financial assistance to our holiday parks. This role will work collaboratively with stakeholders both in the Adelaide Office and remotely with designated parks based across Australia. As the business continues to grow, the successful applicant will ensure standardised processes are rolled out across new acquisitions and that technology is leveraged to ensure processes are efficient and repeatable.
Working within a small team of Finance Officers, you will be allocated a portfolio of parks and through strong communication and support build a rewarding relationship with all affiliations of each park.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE

  • Monthly reconciliations – Bank Account(s), Balance Sheet, Petty Cash.
  • Assist and support Park staff with queries including but not limited to guest receipting, refunds and disputes.
  • End of day/week/month verification, preparation, and processing of financial transactions for designated parks.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to implement improvements to processes across allocated financial functions including related documentation
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, multitask and work under pressure
  • Work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams
    Skills & Experience
    Reporting directly to the Transactional Services Manager who will provide support, mentoring and direction as requested or required the Finance Officer will liaise with Park and Regional Managers to process weekly and monthly finances for the assigned region.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of entry-level accounting/bookkeeping principles
  • Proficiency in using accounting software applications, with experience using SAP Business One advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience using Portfolio Management Systems (PMS) would be desirable (e.g. RMS, Newbook)
  • Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and email)
  • Ability to use initiative to problem solve, drive process and manage workload
