Description:
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Our client is a top specialist in recycling precious metals and one of the largest processors of end-of-life scrap catalytic converters in Asia, which are emission-control devices found in vehicles and other electronic devices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA qualification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Controller in manufacturing industry (experience within precious metals / commodity trading is a plus).
- Strong understanding of the dynamics and challenges inherent in the precious metals market, including price fluctuations, supply chain complexity, and regulatory environments is an advantage.
- Proficient in financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Possess global knowledge and experience working in China preferred.
- Solid knowledge of internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in managing financial audits and working with external auditors.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the organization, provide accurate and timely financial information, ensure compliance with regulations, and support strategic decision-making to drive the company’s success.
The role shall supervise 7 FTE across Singapore, China, and Malaysia
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage cash flow, expenses, budgeting, and debt.
- Ensure optimal funds in banks for operations and unexpected expenses.
- Perform monthly group consolidation and results analysis.
- Develop risk management/control strategy.
- Implement financial strategies and oversee financial reports and audits.
- Provide ROI analysis for investments and oversee tax matters.
- Lead finance team, assign work effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
