Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent; Professional qualification (Chartered Accountant).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience with 5-8 years in a managerial role; experience with sophisticated ERP systems preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of FRS, IFRS Reporting requirements, tax laws, computation and reporting requirements; proficient in MS Office tools; experience in the Food and Beverage industry a plus.
  • Attributes: Strong leadership qualities, excellent relationship management and communication skills; proactive, committed, and capable of multitasking under pressure.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and Mandarin, to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Finance Oversight : Manage all finance functions (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Control) in Singapore to ensure operational efficiency and process integrity.
  • Financial Processes : Supervise financial closings and audits for local and franchise operations.
  • Reporting : Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of regular financial consolidated reports, analyzing key performance indicators.
  • Financial Analysis : Analyze financial outcomes to identify critical issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Cash Flow Management : Assist in the forecasting and monitoring of cash flows to manage liquidity effectively.
  • Department Collaboration : Collaborate with department heads to guide and resolve finance-related issues.
  • Audit Management : Lead annual audits, managing relationships with external auditors, audit committees, and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Team Development : Mentor and develop the local finance team.

Budgeting and Forecasting :

  • Budget Support : Aid in budgeting and financial forecasting for the organization.
  • Strategic Financial : Conduct proactive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and recommend enhancements.
  • Project Participation : Participate in strategic projects and initiatives, drive cost reduction strategies, and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Profitability and Cash Flow : Identify opportunities to boost profitability and cash flow.

Local Business Growth and Projects :

  • Capital Management : Oversee capital investments, from appraisal to post-investment reviews, ensuring alignment with financial strategies.
  • Presentation Development : Prepare detailed presentations on financial performance, forecasts, and strategic projects for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commercial Support : Act as a financial advisor to the management team, supporting critical business decisions and organizational enhancements.

Internal Controls and Compliance :

  • Controls Implementation : Implement and enforce strict financial controls and compliance with accounting policies throughout the Singapore operations.
  • Financial Systems Maintenance : Streamline and maintain robust financial systems and controls including cash handling, payments, credit management, and reconciliations.

Tax, Insurance, and Banking :

  • Regulatory Compliance : Coordinate with legal and financial consultants to ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Management : Manage and oversee tax computations and compliance with governmental financial regulations.
  • Banking Relations : Manage relationships with banks for credit lines and other financial services as needed.
