Description:

We are looking for an accomplished Financial & Management Accountant who is fluent in Mandarin & English to join our holding company Finance team, where you will be working with colleagues based locally in Melbourne as well as in Hong Kong & Beijing.
This busy role will include managing, monitoring, and enhancing the process of month-end / year-end close and financial reporting for Australia and Hong Kong, preparation of periodic financial reports and analysis, year-end consolidated and statutory reports, and review of subsidiaries’ financial reports to ensure compliance with relevant accounting and reporting standards. You will also provide technical advice, guidance and support for the group Finance team in resolving complex accounting issues as well as facilitating finance processes to provide financial analysis, insights, and value-added advice to broader management in Australia and Hong Kong.
This role is based in our landmark offices on Flinders Street.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage month-end / year-end close process to ensure timely reporting of financial reports and compliance
- Review Monthly/Quarterly/Half year and Annual financial statements and reports of Australian subsidiaries
- Take ownership of monthly consolidated reporting of main KPI and financial statements reporting pack for Australia and Hong Kong group
- Take ownership of year-end consolidated statutory financial statements and related disclosure notes and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and reporting standards
- Review tax packs and tax-related disclosures of all subsidiaries and the group for half year and annual reporting
- Prepare Half year and Annual Goodwill impairment testing model, WACC analysis, and Goodwill impairment memos for audit
- Produce monthly financial reporting to analyse and improve financial performance and support management strategic decision-making
- Provide backup for forecasting and budgeting process and reporting of the group
- Prepare documentation and reporting for other key stakeholders and group reporting requirements
- Provide guidance and support to the group finance team for technical accounting advice, and in investigating and resolving complex accounting issues.
- Providing ad-hoc support to the broader finance team
