Constellation’s network serves a wide range of food product segments on the farm-to-fork journey. We are the go-to cold storage provider for many household names in the food industry across Europe. The vast majority of our storage capacity operates at frozen temperatures. We also have the ability to cater to specialised temperature requirements, offering chilled and ambient temperature storage in certain locations.
We own and operate a range of state-of-the-art fully and partially automated warehouses, as well as conventional warehouses. This allows us to be flexible in catering to the needs of different customers.
Our facilities hold sought-after quality accreditations, and they are equipped with the latest technology and systems, ensuring traceability of product in real-time, and enhancing management and customer visibility.
As the third largest player in Europe, we have a presence in 7 countries with 26 cold storage facilities. Approximately 750 employees work daily to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.
We are looking for a Finance manager.
Location : Mouscron, with some flexibility to travel between NL, BE & FR, Constellation Cold Logistics locations.

PROFILE AND SKILLS :

Financial Expertise:
Fully Qualified Accountant with significant experience in the Food industry or supply chain.
Highly analytical and inquisitive mind for problem-solving and identifying inefficiencies.
Leadership and Management:
Skilled in team management with a strong commitment to developing and guiding team members for future advancement.
Effective communicator able of driving the right behaviours at all levels in the business.
Able to challenge business performance constructively to ensure productive outcomes for all parties.
Self-Motivation and Time Management:
Highly motivated self-starter, able of working with minimal supervision to achieve clearly defined goals.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, essential for balancing and prioritizing projects and workload to tight deadlines.
Tenacious and able to manage and see through to completion a range of value-added projects.
Systems Literacy and Commercial Awareness:
High degree of systems literacy to facilitate automation and simplification of management reporting.
Maintains a commercial and operational interest, continuously understanding and challenging business operations.

Responsibilities:

The main purpose of the role is to lead the financial management of the local finance functions for the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The role holder will be expected to support performance management across the NL, BE, FR Country business units with robust financial control and forecasting/planning principles.
The role holder will also be responsible for supporting and challenging business performance with the local MD(s) through embedding a strong business partnering culture.
Finally, the role holder will be expected to fully engage with and support Group Finance initiatives at a local level, for example improvement to processes and of ways of working as well as systems development (e.g. MI & ERP).
The role holder will be responsible for the following 4 key functional areas :
Ownership of all local financial controlling functions for NL, BE & FR.
Ownership of Country / BU budgeting, forecasting and longer term planning.
Business Partnering with local MD(s) to drive business analysis & performance.
Supporting Constellation Group Finance with business improvement & finance transformation projects.
This role is fundamental to the effective financial management and control of the NL, BE, FR business units. The local finance controlling functions are critical to ensuring that Constellation adopts a “brilliant basics” approach to doing all critical and core financial controlling activities in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
These include ensuring that local P&L actuals, budgets, forecasts and month end balance sheets are accurately presented and analysed to provide the necessary insight for the local BU, executive and management teams to make good forward-looking business decisions.
There will also be a number of ad-hoc projects within this role relating to the ERP system development, payroll and HR systems development, MI/BI systems enhancements etc to support the provision of better financial information and more efficient wider business ways of working.
Development of a more robust local capex planning and forecasting approach and post-investment appraisal is also a deliverable for the role.
You report to the CFO with a strong dotted line and day to day responsibility to Country Managing Director.
