We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Brisbane (Springfield) based Senior Management Team to provide financial management of our Nauru Regional Processing Centre Contract.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

In your role as Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial management of our Nauru Regional Processing Centre Contract.

GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • ensuring all financial reports, accounts payable, accounts receivable and audits are handled in a timely manner in accordance with the Contract and all Company policies, procedures and standards
  • ensuring all monthly financial reporting is completed on time and to the standard required
  • making long-range plans and budget forecasts, sets targets, and establish objectives to drive a continuous improvement model
  • producing costing analysis for the replacement of Department assets
  • assisting the Contract Manager in effectively managing the Contract by advising on financial matters in the interest of the business
  • setting and managing budgets and financial targets to contribute to overall Company performance
  • working to safeguard the company by ensuring we are compliant with both Australian and Nauru legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards affecting our business
  • managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, procurement functions
  • leading and developing the finance team
  • attending regular training and refresher sessions to maintain skills and qualifications including but not limited to cultural awareness, mental health, CPR and first aid

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • possess a Chartered Accounting (CA) Qualification
  • have proven finance management experience in a complex industry
  • experience either within detention, immigration, corrections or regional processing or resettlement services (desired)
  • experience working with Oracle Net Suite
  • experience in inventory management
  • a thorough understanding of procurement
  • be socially responsible with the highest standards of personal honesty and integrity
  • be flexible and adaptable approach to varied working situations
  • ability to travel both interstate and overseas as and when required to meet the needs of the business
  • proven right to work in Australia
  • willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check
  • current Working with Children Card
  • current First Aid Certificate
  • evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 (double vaccinated) plus one booster with a vaccine recognised in Australia
