Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our client’s business. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all financial aspects of the business, from preparing management reports to liaising with the CEO on performance against budgets. You will ensure transparency, accuracy, and timely reporting while also assisting with year-end audit processes. Your role will extend beyond traditional finance duties as you will also manage insurance policies and WorkCover with the CEO. You will maintain strong internal control systems over budgets, cost management & payments.

  • Prepare all management reports including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Forecasts
  • Analyse results against KPIs and report to CEO
  • Liaise with CEO on performance verses budgets / forecasts and exception reporting
  • Ensure transparency, accuracy, and timely reporting
  • Assist with year-end audit processes as required
  • Oversight of the accounts payable function ensuring invoices are processed correctly
  • Maintain General ledger for each entity in Netsuite including journals
  • Manage Insurance Policies and WorkCover with CEO
  • Ensure procedures and controls are in place to maintain the integrity of data and reporting

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in similar roles within the hospitality or retail sector. You hold degree qualifications in finance or business accounting or an equivalent discipline along with post-graduate qualifications such as CA or CPA. Your strong Microsoft Word and Excel software skills will be put to good use in this role, and experience using Netsuite would be an advantage. You have a proven track record of developing budgets and business plans, and your superior negotiation skills will be essential for both internal and external purposes.

  • Degree qualifications in finance or business accounting or an equivalent discipline
  • Post graduate qualifications CA or CPA
  • Experience in similar roles in a hospitality/retail company or Group
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel software skills
  • Experience using Netsuite is an advantage
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purpose
