Our client is an sme multi-national business in the Education sector looking to recruit an experienced Head of Finance. Based in London, the role will support the MD and wider business in all areas of finance. This role has the opportunity to lead into a permanent position.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and responsibility for weekly & monthly Cash Flow
  • Preparing annual budget and forecast
  • Providing insight and analysis on budget vs actual variances
  • Overseeing all financial transactions including invoices, expenses reports and BACS payments
  • Controlling and maintaining all accounting records
  • Preparing monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Managing supplier payments and queries
  • Liaising with outsourced payroll and pension providers
  • Ad hoc tasks when required
  • Managing 1 finance assistant

The candidate:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Experience working at a similar level roles within an sme
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven business partnering skills
  • Team player
  • Strong leaderships skills
