Description:
Profile and Technical Skills
- Qualified certified Accountant or equivalent with a minimum 6 years of experience in fund, IFRS, consolidation accounting in an AIFM, a PFS, or a Big Four in Luxembourg.
- Direct experience of working on unregulated/regulated fund structures and the key stakeholders (AIFM, Depositary, Auditor, Investment Manager, Fund Administrator, Board of Managers)
- Fluent in English, any other language will be considered as an asset.
- Experienced in IC reconciliations of international subsidiaries with multi-currencies.
- Experience in working with multi-cultural and remote contacts.
- Technical attitude, especially Microsoft Excel, ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously in large part in a cross-border, global team environment.
- Being a team player.
- High sense of responsibility, great commitment, high flexibility, high confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
To be located in Brookfield’s Luxembourg Office as part of the Finance team. The position will work closely with the local Legal Team and Finance Teams abroad. To be in charge of fund accounting for regulated fund vehicles and involved in reporting of Luxembourg-based fund structures and their subsidiaries holding real estate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fund Finops
- Management, co-ordination and oversight of AIFMs, Depositaries, Fund Admins, Valuers, fund lawyers and other fund specific service providers in all matters, ensuring orderly and efficient running of the fund entities business processes (e.g. bookkeeping, board meetings, reporting, audit management etc).
- Management of tax compliance and obligations, including payment of all taxes
- Oversight of the fund vehicle capital structure, ensuring its compliance with both regulatory requirements and Brookfield investment strategies
- Participation in Group closing and consolidation operations including the intercompany reconciliation process and quality review of subsidiary reporting packages.
- Managing all financial reporting obligations, both statutory and any investor reporting
- Calculation of fund unit price
- Liquidity management of fund entities
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure efficient deployment / return of capital for investments, through a variety of structuring strategies (e.g. equity, loans etc)
Consolidation and Reporting
- Supporting the local accounting teams to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with IFRS and Group reporting requirements
- Participation in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements with notes according to IFRS
- Internal financial reporting (BPG packs) for fund entities
- Internal compliance obligations (SEC reporting, internal audit) as necessary
