We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Overheads Group Finance team at our Sydney Head Office.

Responsibilities:

THE OPPORTUNITY - ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will Business Partner with Senior Management from our Marketing and Technology teams, providing accurate and timely reporting, forecasting, and actionable insights to drive achievement of Business Targets. Working collaboratively with team members to share knowledge and ideas, you’ll challenge current processes and assumptions, and drive improvement initiatives. You will also strive to embed a culture of strong control and risk compliance ensuring adherence to Accounting Policies and internal controls including cost centre reporting, balance sheet recs and analytical reviews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Analyse and interpret results to provide quality insight to senior stakeholders into factors influencing performance, and present recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Full end-to-end OPEX financial support, including Long Term Forecast (LTF) submissions, analysis, reporting and monitoring, to support delivery managers, IMTLT and Chief Innovation, Marketing & Technology Officer (CIMTO).
  • Manage actual costs by vendor with delivery and commercial managers, including reconciliation of actuals to contracts, and calculating and posting accruals at relevant intervals.
  • Track benefits and movements to the budget due to targeted activities/initiatives such as contract renegotiations, system/service retirements etc.
  • Perform project cost tracking and improve forecasting discipline, working closely with the PMO on overall portfolio items for forecasting, tracking, capitalisation and depreciation.
  • Posting of accruals based on inputs from delivery managers at the relevant times.
  • Timely set up/updates of the relevant WBS when funding is released.
  • Attend key project SteerCo meetings as required to assess and advise on financial impact assessment of delivery decisions, communicate through appropriate governance structures, and update in financial forecast submissions.
