WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The company is looking for a Finance Manager to join our finance team. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic startup at an exciting phase of growth. The Senior Finance Manager will have a wide range of responsibilities and will be a key member of the finance leadership team.
Assisting the Head of Department, the Finance Manager is responsible for 1) building and leading a high-performing and agile finance function, 2) delivering on core financial responsibilities such as accurate accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, reporting, audit and tax compliance, 3) optimising accounting processes across group entities.

REQUIREMENTS

You should possess the following skills and proficiencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent. Professional accreditation and prior audit experience / accounting experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success as a senior finance role within a startup environment at Series B and up or in tech, insurtech and healthcare is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of financial operations within a B2B2C industry.
  • Strong understanding of tech, healthcare and insurance industries would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience of system / financial tooling implementation (e.g. ERP system, reconciliation tools).
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including internal and external stakeholders, such as financial institutions, tax and audit professionals, clients and partners.
  • Strong sense of ownership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and good project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert level of competency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of staff and oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting across the group entities. Experience with intercompany transactions and group consolidation will be beneficial.
  • Manage all aspects of finance, such as financial reporting, management reporting, audit, tax and regulatory compliance, cashflow management.
  • Continually review and implement finance policies and internal controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance operations and internal processes (data, workflows) that underpin all products and services that the company offers.
  • Support and work closely with overseas counterparts in providing guidance on accounting and group policy requirements where necessary.
  • Drive a high-performance culture and champion cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective communication, alignment of goals, and timely achievement of targets.
  • Manage external stakeholders including financial institutions, clients, partners, auditors, and tax consultants.
  • Actively partner internal stakeholders and apply a forward-looking mindset to develop the finance team to be a strategic asset to the business, providing guidance on all finance-related matters.
  • Manage projects such as the implementation of system and financial tools.
  • Support any ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
