They are looking for a passionate Finance Officer to join their team in Parramatta ASAP on a contract until September 2024 with a possible extension!

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Providing accurate, professional and timely financial reporting and transactional support.
• Journal processing, month end and year end processing and reconciliations.
• Internal control and compliance checks.
• Liaising with auditors and handle audit queries.
• Participate in finance projects and other ad hoc tasks to provide support to the senior finance officers and managers

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:

• Proven experience working within a Finance Officer or Assistant Accountant capacity.
• Must have solid accounting knowledge (graduate in accounting related stream) or have been in similar role with month end and accounting reconciliation experience.
• Previous SAP experience is a must.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills is a must.
• Government experience is highly beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
