An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team, at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. The Finance Officer will provide a robust and efficient financial support service across most aspects of the College’s work. This will include assisting with the preparation of the month end management accounts, student finance (including scholarships and bursaries) and fixed asset accounting. We are looking for an individual with strong financial experience, an approachable, professional and “can do” attitude to work, who is equally adept at working unaided or as part of a close-knit team.
Based at Cardiff this role will provide you with an opportunity to use your financial skills and abilities to support both the Finance team and the wider College providing a range of financial services.
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) is a space for everyone, and we welcome applications from people with all sorts of backgrounds and lived experiences. The College attracts the best creative talent from across the globe. As Wales’ national conservatoire, we fire imagination and drive innovation, offering training to almost 1000 actors, musicians, designers, technicians, and arts managers from more than 30 countries. Our students’ extraordinary talent and potential is fused with exceptional teaching and unrivalled industry links, to bring dreams to life. Creative ambition and collaboration are central to our excellence.
Our students are immersed in a live industry environment from the moment they arrive. With some of Wales’ most prestigious venues, the College operates a dynamic arts centre, and our performance programme of world class professionals is integral to students’ training. We nourish our future professionals, so they push new boundaries and make their mark in the creative industries, aspiring to brilliant careers. The future starts here.
We are committed to creating a workforce that is representative of society.
