JOB SUMMARY:

This role involves working as part of the Finance team where you will be reporting to the AVP, Finance. The role is responsible for certain finance operations, accounts receivables activities, and debtor management for our Australia business portfolio, where you will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a finance operations/credit management role.
  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry is an advantage.
  • Hands on, detail orientated and possess a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work well under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels, including both internal and external stakeholders in the organisation.
  • Experienced in handling high volumes of transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure incoming receipts are applied timely and accurately in the policy administration system.
  • Work with underwriters, brokers, account managers, insurance operations and other external stakeholders to resolve open receivables and keep unallocated receipts at minimal levels.
  • Help maintain outstanding overdue balances at prescribed corporate levels.
  • Responsible for updating and reconciling cash books.
  • Assist in the preparation of a monthly unallocated cash report for review/distribution.
  • Liaise with underwriters and insurance operation to resolve disputed accounts and premium adjustments in the policy administration system.
  • Produce monthly receivables’ report showing all outstanding premiums for distribution to Senior Management and Departmental Heads.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
