  Alwyndor is looking for a dynamic and high performing Financial Accountant to join the team based at our modern facility and beautiful grounds in the seaside suburb of Hove.
  Alwyndor is operated by the City of Holdfast Bay in its capacity as Trustee of the Dorothy Cheater Trust. We deliver on-site residential care as well as a broad range of community and Allied Health services in a modern and integrated organisation.

REQUIRED SKILL AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
• CA/CPA qualification or studying towards is desirable
• Proficient in the use of Excel
• Proven ability to think and act strategically and set realistic goals and plans which improve services;
• Financial accounting experience including budgeting and performance analysis;
• Excellent work ethic, energy, passion and commitment;
• Experience in Aged Care or Not For Profit will be highly regarded

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Financial Accountant will ensure the development and delivery of high-quality financial information for a range of stakeholders.
The Financial Accountant will ensure all statutory obligations are met using contemporary management practices and available resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Month end reporting and reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of Financial Statements
• Assist with the internal and external audit process
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist in the management of cash-flow and investments of funds adequately
• Responsible for precise reconciliation, month-end accruals, journal entry preparation, and ledger recording
• Review payroll processes for accuracy and compliance
