The Australian National University, one of the World’s leading research universities, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, customer service focused finance professional to work within the University’s Finance and Business Services Division (F&BS). F&BS supports the University’s strategic and operational goals through the provision of professional corporate financial management and administration, reporting and effective business services.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Financial Accountant is a member of the Corporate Finance and Financial Reporting team within the Finance and Business Services Division (F&BS). They Financial Accountant is responsible for making a significant contribution to and supporting the production and delivery of high quality, informative, accurate and timely financial reporting for the University.
The Financial Accountant collaborates with and provides high quality financial reporting, services and advice to stakeholders across the University and has responsibility to support the delivery of timely information and financial reports to senior management to enable compliance with regulations. They have a strong understanding of financial management principles and provide advice, support and assistance on the implementation of various local and University wide finance related initiatives. The Financial Accountant works with staff within F&BS team and with finance professionals across the broader University community.
F&BS focuses on providing the best quality support to the ANU. A Merit pool of applicants will be kept for future recruitment needs.
