    About the organisation:
    The Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) is the sole medical college accredited by the Australian Medical Council for the training and continuing professional development of practitioners in the specialty of Dermatology.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Administration and management of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger, general invoicing
  • Financial reporting, monthly payroll tax, monthly PAYG, BAS
  • Implementation of the Group’s financial delegation policy and report discrepancies, provide support around monitoring and review of internal policies and procedures
  • Financial assets accounting, intercompany transactions and intercompany fun transfers
  • Period end and year end processing, including general ledger reconciliations and reviews, preparing company accounts for annual audit
  • Reporting, budgeting and annual audit process
  • Provide support to Finance Director across all activities, and support Finance Officer across general duties
  • Other duties as necessary

Previous skills & experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline
  • 5 years’ experience o more within professional accounting with proven experience with month end closing and financial reporting
  • Previous experience with annual audits, AASB standards, ACNC requirements, etc.
  • Experience with BAS, PAYG, FBT and Payroll tax
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, experience with MYOB EXO or MYOB Advanced is preferable
  • Abilities within internet banking facilities for bank payments, receipts and bank reconciliations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, ability to communication financial information to stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent organisation, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Can work autonomously as well as part of a team, happy to help and assist wider team with other duties when necessary
  • CPA or CA desirable
  • Experience working within a not-for-profit or membership organisation, desirable
