FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANTABOUT THE COMPANYLEADING EDUCATIONAL BODY BASED IN NORTH DUBLIN ARE HIRING A FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN THEIR TEAM. GREAT OPPERTUNITY FOR A NEWLY QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN A DYMANIC TEAM WHERE YOU WILL GAIN STRONG EXPERIENCE.THIS IS INITIALLY BEING OFFERED AS N 11 MONTH FTC WITH A STRONG POTENTIAL OF BECOMING A PERMANENT ROLE.ABOUT THE POSITIONTHE SUCCESSFUL QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT EITHER FROM INDUSTRY, FINANCIAL SERVICES OR PRACTICE AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING RESEARCH AND SELF-FUNDED GRANTS, CLAIMS AS WELL AS PRODUCING REPORTS TO ENSURE THAT PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS AND OTHER KEY STAKEHOLDERS ARE PROVIDED WITH UP-TO-DATE FINANCIAL INFORMATION ON PROJECTS. THIS JOB WILL ALSO ENCOMPASS MONITORING EXPENDITURES ON PROJECTS WITHIN THE DESIGNATED RULES OF FUNDING BODIES.THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY THAT OFFERS GREAT EXPOSURE TO BEST PRACTICE ACCOUNTING, WORKING WITHIN GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES, AND WORKING WITH MULTIPLE AUDITORS AND ALSO OFFERS HUGE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAREER ADVANCEMENT AS WELL. HYBRID FLEXIBLE WORKING, 25 DAYS ANNUAL LEAVE, DISCOUNTED STAFF MEMBERSHIP OF THE ON-CAMPUS SPORTS COMPLEX.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive assistance and advice to the campus Research Community regarding all the financial requirements relating to assigned research projects
Preparation/review and approval of expenditure claims for individual research projects
Approval of staff requests and core expense claims as required.
Ensure that funding claims/invoices are organised in a timely manner
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial reports
Gathering and presentation of information required for external audits.
Experience/Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a professional accounting qualification-ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA
They will be flexible and possess an ability to work effectively as part of the team, offering assistance to team members when required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
The applicant will have good MS Excel skills and previous experience with financial systems.
