Financial Accountant required with 3 years plus experience ideally in manufacturing, or a multinational environment. Galway city.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Minimum of 3 years post qualification work experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and an excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of Sage 50 and Micropay.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of various monthly management reporting packs, including all G.L. entries to ensure compliance with corporate reporting deadlines
- Responsible for all elements of the Balance Sheet including Fixed Asset Register maintenance
- All aspects of Inventory Control; Physical Counts, Variance Investigations & Analysis, Database Inventory Reporting
- Submission of Monthly P30 & VAT Returns
- Preparation of Audit file for year end
- Management of the R&D Tax Credit Claims Process
- Responsible for preparation and submission of Grant Claims
- Ownership of the Standard Costing Process
- Driving Cost Reduction Efforts
- Maintenance of reporting procedures for the finance function.
- Assist in annual budget preparation, rolling forecasts, and working capital management
- Preparation of monthly KPI’s
- Management of the Accounts Assistant role, ensuring appropriate coaching and mentoring is provided.
- Ad hoc support to the Financial Controller and other department managers in supporting the business.
