Description:

Consumer Additions are currently partnering with a B-crop Outdoor Clothing brand to look for a 3-month Interim Accountant to in the team based down in Cornwall.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role, within a small finance team and with exposure to all areas of finance
  • Relevant experience in a multi-channel retail business preferred
  • An independent thinker with strong intellect and power of analysis, who takes a keen interest in problem solving and applying their initiative
  • Proficient in NetSuite preferred
  • Strong team-player who’s pro-active and willing to work with their peers to achieve mutual goals and targets
  • Excellent self-awareness, communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of specific month-end duties, including monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Providing additional support to the Financial Controller with P&L month-end close tasks to facilitate a smooth and timely close process (five working days)
  • Assisting with the preparation of month-end management accounts/Board reporting packs
  • Supporting with the preparation of monthly cost-centre and departmental reporting
  • Pro-actively working with the Financial Controller to support the finalisation of the statutory audit, including but not limited to, facilitating the preparation of all balance sheet accounts and investigating and clearing down reconciling items
  • Support in reparation of statutory annual financial statements (company and consolidation)
  • Assisting the accounts payable lead with timely and accurate processing of non-stock spend and employee expense reimbursement through the Spendesk platform
  • Working closely with our Technology Lead to identify and eliminate system integration issues
  • Pro-actively assisting the Financial Controller to identify areas for process improvements and enhanced control procedures to eliminate risk and drive efficiencies
