Emesent is a high growth scale-up and our Finance team needs your help. We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant who will work closely with our finance team members to deliver effective business outcomes. You will draw on your experience to own and enhance the day-to-day accounting and financial processes within the business, make recommendations for system improvements and contribute positively to the outcomes delivered by the finance team in our fast-paced environment. You will be proactive with a great eye for detail. Teamwork and collaboration are important to us so we are looking for someone who will embody our people-oriented spirit with internal and external stakeholders

HERE’S WHAT WE NEED

• Management reporting
• Management of monthly general ledger close, internal financial and KPI reporting, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Preparation of data for reports for Board meetings
• Assist with payroll and forecasting
• Financial & regulatory reporting
• Key contributor to the annual audit
• Periodic investor relations reporting pursuant to shareholder agreement
• Taxation & compliance
• Key Contributor Tax return and R&D Analysis
• Operational finance
• Transactional accounting including fixed asset accounting, and ad hoc reporting
• Such other duties as may reasonably be required
• T & financial systems
• Previous experience with general ledger accounting and ERP systems (Xero, HubSpot desirable)
• Atlassian suite (desirable)
• MS Office
