  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
  • CA or CPA qualified, or almost at completion
  • Experience in financial accounting or related roles (eg.. audit). In particular, demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis and compliance with accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with extracting and manipulating data stored in relational databases (for example, through the use of SQL) will be viewed favourably
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close process including balance sheet, profit & loss reconciliations and consolidation workings
  • Prepare weekly cash flow reports and forecasts
  • Review accounts payable payments and employee calculations including payroll accruals
  • Manage fixed asset register, R&D timesheet records, and provide finance team training and backup support
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting requirements, tax return workings, and BAS returns
  • Assist senior leaders with financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc finance tasks
  • Support external auditors and evaluate financial processes and systems.
