About the Role:

  • Maintain the firm’s general ledger within SAP, providing accurate and consistent records of assets, liabilities and transactions
  • Execute closing activities in accordance with the close calendar and checklist
  • Review monthly reconciliations and other control checks
  • Prepare complete, accurate and timely monthly management accounts through SAP
  • Ensure full compliance with requirements under FRS 102
  • Co-ordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly cash flow and liquidity forecasts
  • Support the preparation of bi-monthly group VAT returns
  • Deliver high quality output (complete, accurate and validated)
  • Partner with members of the Deloitte North South Europe RTR Business Process Forum to resolve accounting issues and drive leading practices.
  • Partner with Global Financial Services team on above activities

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Practice or Industry trained with 3+ years of accounts preparation experience
  • Detailed understanding of IFRS and FRS 102
  • Double-entry accounting knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work to strict reporting deadlines, while managing multiple priorities
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with the ability to learn the firm’s systems and other reporting tools
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, as well as commitment to quality and efficiency
  • Client focused with a good understanding of service concepts
