We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our finance team. As a Financial Accountant at NZFT, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing financial insights to assist in decision-making processes.
We will be considering applications from those both for a permanent role or a contracted role
Responsibilities:
Managing monthly cash flow reports and forecasts
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for the board for both NZ and AUS.
Monitor and managing bank accounts
Payroll of NZ and AUS employees including commission
Reconciliation of inter-entity accounts
Assist in the preparation of budgets, and cash flow projections.
Oversee day to day transactions of AR, AP and Credit Control
Management of and process transactions for Xero
Assisting with client refunds, overdue balance reports and account queries.
Managing tax returns and obligations
Managing Fixed Asset Register, Insurance and GST returns
Accounts training with the sales team
Manage relationships with external stakeholders
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Experience working in an organisation that operates in multiple currencies
Requirements
CPA or CA qualification is required.
Strong knowledge and experience of NZ and AUS accounting principles and practices would be desirable
5+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the travel or hospitality industries.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proactive with strong organisational, time management and computer skills.
Excellent communication and team work skills!
