THE COMPANY

My client is a large logistics business operating around New Zealand delivering well-known products. They have a reputation as a leader in their field and the group has a strong presence internationally. Due to a change in the finance team, they are looking for a blended Financial and Management Accountant to join the team to take ownership of a specific business unit.

THE ROLE

As the Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager. You will take ownership of one of their business units and partnering across the business. You will be responsible for the following:

• Month end close - 5 days
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement in financial processes and controls
• Collaborate with various departments to provide financial guidance and support for operational initiatives

To be successful in this role you should display the following attributes:

• Strong MS Excel skills
