Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and supportive team within a leading professional services company. This role offers an attractive salary range of £45,000 - £50,000 and the flexibility of working from home. This is a newly created role with responsibilities spanning across all areas of accounting and financial reporting process.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the brilliant & supportive team. You will be involved in various aspects of the accounting and financial reporting process. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with annual audits, liaising with external auditors, preparing accounting papers for new business lines & client contracts, among others. You will also have the opportunity to become a super user of our Group consolidation software. This role requires someone who is proactive, delivery focused and willing to learn and take responsibility.
- Assist with the coordination of the annual audit and financial statement preparation process for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist in preparation and review of statutory returns.
- Become a super user of the Group consolidation software.
- Assist with the implementation of new IFRSs and other reporting standards applicable to the Group, including non-financial measures such as climate reporting.
- Prepare accounting papers for new business lines & client contracts.
- Involve in ad hoc financial reporting and financial systems projects, such as identifying & implementing improvements in reporting and consolidation processes.
- Review general ledger account reconciliations and monitor/ challenge outcomes.
- Prepare and post consolidation adjustments.
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of the budget for the Group.
The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant position will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA). You will bring proven relevant financial accounting experience along with an interest in technical accounting. Advanced Excel skills and strong communication abilities are essential for this role. You will also be prepared to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and have a proactive, delivery-focused attitude. A willingness to learn and take responsibility is key to succeed in this role.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
