Description:
Robert Walters are excited to be working with a global industry leading technology innovation business who due to growth are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in modern offices based in South Manchester.
As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for delivering financial accounting services to internal customers in Switzerland and senior stakeholders, adding value to the business through sound tax and VAT management. Responsibilities:
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within our Group Finance team. Your primary responsibility will be delivering financial accounting services to our internal customers in Switzerland, ensuring sound tax and VAT management. You will manage external statutory reporting, prepare monthly financial accounts, ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS requirements, and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your ability to assist in calculating tax balances, implementing transfer pricing policies, managing WHT positions, and overseeing group debt arrangements will be crucial to your success in this role.
- Manage external statutory reporting and oversee the audit process for the Swiss Group and subsidiary accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial accounts for the Swiss entities, including full balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Ensure local (Swiss) GAAP and IFRS compliance requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including external fiscal authorities (tax/VAT).
- Assist in calculating and maintaining tax balances in the ledger.
- Assist in the implementation of the group’s transfer pricing policy.
- Manage the group’s WHT position, including the recovery and submission of CT61s.
- Manage group debt arrangements.
