Description:

Are you enthusiastic about numbers and finance, possessing a meticulous eye for detail and adept problem-solving skills? We are currently in search of a committed Financial Accountant to join our team. In this position, your responsibilities will include overseeing the efficient operations of the Finance Department at the Sonas Support Office.

Key duties and responsibilities encompass:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and providing detailed variance reports against budgets.
  • Implementing cost control measures, promoting cost awareness, and monitoring overhead expenditure.
  • Managing the fixed asset register and preparing monthly depreciation journals for all business units.
  • Compiling monthly balance sheet and inter-company balances reconciliations.
  • Supervising payroll and related matters for over 700 employees.
  • Analysing labor ratios, generating reports for individual departments within each unit, and addressing significant variances from budgeted levels.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets in collaboration with management teams and the Financial Director.
  • Upholding and enhancing internal controls and processes.
  • Creating monthly cash-flow forecasts for all business units and analyzing company bank accounts.
  • Handling Revenue Returns and CSO returns.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient use of computerised accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong experience in accounting preparation.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Previous industry experience in a Finance function.
  • Motivated team member capable of leading the Finance team.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
