Description:
As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success of our Muckross Park Hotel.
As a Financial Accountant at The iNUA Collection Hospitality Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for various financial tasks, including but not limited to, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor daily financial activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Enforce and document adequate controls for all revenues, expenses, and asset protection, with a keen focus on maintaining and improving guest service levels.
- Coordinate with department heads to analyse financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct periodic audits to assess adherence to financial policies, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management to ensure the hotel remains competitive and compliant.
