Position Title: Financial Accountant
Reporting to: Finance Director
Classification: Permanent
Location: Shannon
Position Summary:
Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the organisation; control its financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, system and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. This role will involve daily interaction with the US and China Accounting teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • 6+ years relevant work experience in a similar position.
  • Exposure to Irish and US GAAP.
  • Previous Payroll experience with knowledge of Sage Micropay payroll software is essential.
  • Knowledge of Great Plains (advantageous) / previous experience working with different accounting packages.
  • Excellent computer skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience working in project work, data analysis and creation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is essential in this role.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing key finance deliverables.
  • Group reporting including prior experience with consolidating reporting packages an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly management accounts
  • Responsible for payroll, taxation, and compliance returns
  • Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Environmental compliance submissions
  • Working with external taxation advisors on corporate tax returns
  • Working with external co-sec and legal advisors
  • Management of audit and liaising with external auditors
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and providing financial insights to grow the business
  • Assisting Finance Director in corporate restructuring
  • Annual budget preparation and assisting Managing Director on formulating 3-year plans
  • Ad hoc projects as required
  • Perform additional duties as required
