Description:

The Financial Accounting Systems, Analyst works with business system related projects as a key resource supporting G/L, Project accounting and Billing, which will vary in size, duration and complexity. Using a variety of facilitation and interview techniques, the Financial Accounting Systems, Analyst will guide business stakeholders through the discovery, identification and documentation of business outcomes, process design, and business & functional requirements for new systems or functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as Functional analyst for the financial systems team in the implementation of Oracle Fusion G/L and Project Accounting modules.
  • Participates in business requirements workshops to understand business need to support gathering, review and validation of needs for the purpose of documenting and maintaining functional requirements.
  • Analyzes gaps in functional requirements to system capabilities to propose / recommend solutions and appropriate workarounds.
  • Develops artifacts such as Business Requirements Document, Functional Requirements, Technical Requirements, Process Flow Diagrams, Gap Analysis, and Use Cases to effectively convey requirements.
  • Collaborates with the other financial team member to monitoring the accuracy of integrations and reporting related to project accounting, billing, budget and forecasting area impacting projects.
  • Facilitates the chartering of new initiatives by working with business leaders to help them articulate their objectives and desired business outcomes, and to define scope.
  • Works with the business team to review and update business processes and advise our finance team on system services available within the Oracle product offerings that can support business requirements.
  • Identifies and communicate findings to our business teams on application testing and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinates and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
