Description:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years accounting/finance experience
  • Fluent English (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems a plus

Responsibilities:

ORGANIZATION & ROLE

The position is an exciting opportunity to provide all round financial support to the STG business unit including financial planning, analysis and reporting, as well as some general accounting.
It is a wide-ranging role and will be a good opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in many areas of finance, as well as develop a good commercial awareness.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize workload to meet weekly deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare weekly backlog, revenue, cost and spending reports for the STG group
  • Assist with quarterly departmental spending forecast, analysis and variance reporting
  • Quarterly close process, including booking of journal entries and assisting with preparation of quarterly reports
  • Responsible for deferred revenue reconciliations and associated revenue entries
  • Support Teradyne’s cash flow objectives through collaboration with credit collections and sales, as well as providing a weekly report to STG Management
  • Work with AIT finance manager and help reconcile and report the results for AIT business unit
  • Track capital expenditure and take care of fixed asset additions/retirements
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for STG Management and Corporate Finance
  • Assist with internal and external audits ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes- Oxley requirements and Teradyne Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • Support process improvement initiatives
