Description:
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Management Control team in Dublin, working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) Manager. We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude, who enjoys a challenge and has a passion for learning. The ideal candidate will be familiar with key accounting principles, have some previous exposure to general ledger data and financial systems; will be comfortable working with numbers and large detailed data sets to extract valuable insight and meaningful information for presentation to management.
EDUCATION & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Third level qualification in Finance/Accounting or other quantitative discipline.
- 2+ years experience in an analytical/administrative role within a Finance function.
- Pursuing / interested in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Previous exposure to Asset Management/Financial Services industry an advantage.
- Experience working with financial systems, ideally Oracle Financials.
- Good data literacy and strong technical skills, particularly MS Excel e.g. look-up formulas, pivot tables. Some exposure to macros, PowerBI a definite plus.

The Financial analyst is a core member of the Finance team, providing essential support to the FPA Manager and the wider Finance function in the areas of management reporting, planning process and month-end close support. The Financial Analyst plays an integral role in expense monitoring, variance analysis, KPI reporting and data management. The role is key to providing analytical support to the entire Finance team and wider business to assist with informed decision-making.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Purchase dept. and business line expense monitoring and reporting; analysing against plan, forecast, prior periods and other key performance metrics. Identifying and investigating underlying drivers of variances, in partnership with purchase dept representatives.
- Provide support to FPA manager in the preparation and delivery of the annual budget, long range planning and production of regular rolling forecasts.
- Maintenance of business line intergroup cost recovery models.
- Support FPA Manager in development of reports and KPI dashboards, used to track and analyse historical and prospective spend patterns and revenue trends.
- Support wider Finance function with month-end close process e.g. accruals, GL account classifications, cost centre allocations.
- Work closely with management on key projects, with a strong focus on process automation and optimisation initiatives.
