Description:

JOB PURPOSE: The Financial Analyst will be a key partner in helping to build internal finance reporting processes and business strategy development in a growing company. Conducts financial analyses to assess the company’s short and long-term goals. Uses accepted financial and accounting principles, theories and concepts.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting experience.
  • 3+ years previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare billing, coding and revenue cycle management practices very beneficial.
  • MS Excel (pivot tables, etc.), MS Office product suite required.
  • Proficiency with technology tools including SQL, report writing, database design and query strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning software preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in ongoing development and maintenance of Avem and client forecast models.
  • Possess thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and general ledger analysis.
  • Perform monthly and annual financial statement reviews.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports to communicate actual results, forecasted performance and variances to forecasted plans and budgets.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.
  • Assist with the build-out of monthly dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Understand and incorporate industry-specific metrics to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions.
  • Ability to exercise judgment, make independent decisions, and manage deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Use technology skills to mine, manage and manipulate data according to real-time requests.
  • Prepare presentations as requested.
  • Coordinate with various individuals, groups and departments for internal compilation of data.
  • Develop/maintain an understanding of critical access cost-based reimbursement and cost reports.
  • Additional duties as requested within scope of practice.
