QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • CA/CPA or studying towards CA/CPA, with 3+ years of accounting/FP&A experience
  • Professional services industry experience preferred
  • Working Knowledge of ERP system (Unit 4) and Reporting tools such as Power BI preferred
  • Good eye for detail
  • Commitment, self-motivation and deadline driven

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We leverage our extensive experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, public reporting, control processes, tax and compliance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, efficient capital allocation and sound financial planning.
The Financial Analyst will be supporting FTI’s Australian FP&A and Accounting teams with a range of accounting responsibilities including, month-end close, budgeting and forecasting functions for FTI Consulting’s Australian businesses. The role reports to Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. The compensation range offered for this role is between $82,500 and $118,500 (inclusive of superannuation).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Working closely with the FP&A and Accounting teams, the Financial Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting with month-end close and preparing management reports for the Australian businesses
  • Preparing segment reports such as gross margin, utilisation and day’s sales outstanding reports
  • Assisting the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Perform regular SG&A analysis with a view of reducing SG&A costs across the Australian businesses
  • Processing month-end journal entries and preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Month-end revenue review, ensuring revenue recognition is in accordance with US GAAP
  • Assist with Tax Compliance functions such as Business Activity Statements and annual Fringe Benefit Tax
  • Recording intercompany accounting transactions and the related reconciliations across entities
  • Maintaining fixed assets register, both accounting and tax, and recording monthly depreciation expense
  • Monthly variance analysis on both Segment and Regional basis
  • Various reporting including, trend analysis and other ad-hoc reporting
  • Other ad-hoc responsibilities
