THE PERSON

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant from a recognised body (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA) who has experience of financial analysis and forecasting.
You’ll be adept at financial systems such as SAP coupled with Excel and PowerBI and strong attention to detail. It will also help if you understand the energy industry but it is not essential. Problem solving and resilience are also core capabilities.

Some of your accountabilities will include:

  • Consolidation and reporting of financial data across the CBS International Services business into SAP, including group eliminations and cash flow analysis
  • Ownership of the P&L, cash flow and balance sheet reporting of the CBS central cost centre structure, including accountability for legal entity cost allocations.
  • Ownership of the consolidated month-end accounting processes including greenlighting, inter-company mis-match reporting, BU check errors and submission of CBS numbers to Group Finance
  • Month-end accountability, to include journal posting, PO accruals, provisions, capex accounting, functional allocations, commentary on monthly performance and query resolution
  • Conducting balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, pro-actively identifying and communicating risks and opportunities upwards.
  • Supporting audit and statutory account production for CBS legal entities.
  • Applying appropriate accounting policies across CBS, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 for customer contracts.
  • Pro-actively identifying improvements to our processes and opportunities for simplification, standardisation, automation and integration of financial systems. Drive towards automated and enhanced reporting, leveraging Office365 tools (e.g. Power Query, Power BI)
  • Supporting finance systems work and data migration as part of the CBS systems strateg
