EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST POSITION:

• Bachelors Degree in accounting or business.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software as well as account software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST POSITION:

• Sitting for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Climbing stairs.
• Talk, hear, and communicate effectively.
• On occasion lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
• Sometimes the working environment would require to be in manufacturing or warehouse environments with high noise levels.

• Analyzes expenses and cost transactions; ensures that transactions are recorded accurately and assigned to the appropriate projects and departments.
• Maintain standard cost system process and methodologies.
• Review, calculate, and update standard costs as needed to ensure accuracy of inventory valuations.
• Balance warehouse system to accounting system and monitor integrity of inventory data.
• Prepares financials monthly with explanation of variances.
• Provides detailed financial analysis and reports of expenses, includes breakdown of project costs, forecasts of remaining expenses, and opportunities to increase efficiency.
• Prepares periodic cost reconciliation reports tracking data such as changing labor and supply costs.
• Prepares quarterly profitability workbooks by Customer, part number, etc.
• Prepares Customer profitability review templates as requested.
• Supports other Departments as needed.
• Create or update SOPs on all standardized work.
• Cross train others on all standard processes as directed.
• Assist in Audits - Financial, Inventory, JSOX, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
