Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

Working from Connections Academies Charter Schools, this position offers a chance to do more than just month-end close and general ledger work. Position provides a chance to make an impact on the day-to-day operations of the School by participating in extensive financial and variance analysis. This position interacts with internal schools’ service delivery management.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and participate in the monthly financial statement close process for Charter Schools, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely as well as analyzing, reviewing, and documenting financial statements and variances.
  • Review/Audit transactional support and reconcile missing items
  • Review transactional coding or code missing elements
  • Maintain and reconcile fund accounting by grant
  • Reconcile accounts and financial statements
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Rollforward
  • Record monthly transactional and payroll expenses
  • Compile monthly audit support for school and corporate auditors
  • Maintain Monthly/Annual files/folders structure
  • Prepare monthly School Leader & Treasurer packages
  • Reconcile School records to corporate records
  • Liaise on cash application
  • Responsible to provide accurate, timely deliverable for schools.
  • Interact and coordinate with School Service teams on special tasks and reporting requirements.
  • Interact with management and other departments as required to accomplish goals.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Comply with deadlines, including those set by the School Boards
