What You’ll Be Doing
As a Financial Analyst, Reporting, you will join CIBC’s Finance department to produce performance, recognition and partner referral reports, investigate report discrepancies, and provide analytical support for various stakeholders. You will complete period-end reconciliation processes and required adjustment entries, and report verification. In addition, you will verify the accuracy of business partner provided data and ranking results, including, but not limited to investigations to resolve a variety of changing and diverse problems, in order to ensure that regulatory and CIBC reporting policies and procedures are met.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Reporting - Produce regular performance and analytical reports for various groups, prepare commentary of observations and analyses to explain month over month and quarter over quarter fluctuations, and produce weekly attestation packages. Identify and investigate report discrepancies, and provide analytical support
  • System and Tools - utilize technical tools such as Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, Oracle and queries of information cube by the use of VBA to resolve business issues and produce reports with the use of pre-coded Microsoft Access queries, perform regular entries on the internal spreadsheets and/or database systems and provide analytical support to various internal user-groups. Approve and fulfill user access requests for systems owned and managed by Performance Reporting & Support.
  • Validation & Analysis - Assisting in the development and implementation of validation and attestation processes and procedures to support adequacy of source data and metrics. Confirm and reconcile report results against information sources, to ensure proper control, reconciliation of systems, and accuracy.
