JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Financial Analyst is responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for various Ritchie Brothers entities. The Analyst will carry out accurate and timely financial reporting while working with various stakeholders in the organization to obtain insight to execute on deliverables. The Financial Analyst will be expected to contribute and support key initiatives including standardization and process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of Financial Analyst experience.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written.
- Competent Problem-solving skills.
- Competent Technical skills.
- Ability to think critically and tactical and timely decision making skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for various Ritchie Brothers entitles.
- Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting while working with various stakeholders in the organization to obtain insight to execute on deliverables.
- Supports key initiatives including standardization and process improvements.
- Prepares and comments on the Balance Sheet and Net Income Statements.
- Review & prepare month-end journal entries.
- Prepare variance analysis – P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and compliance reporting.
- Complete SOX control requirements ensuring full SOX compliance, including but not limited to IPEs and WPs.
- Ensuring adherence of Corporate Accounting Policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
