Description:

Requiring applicants with Microsoft Office proficiency, Robert Half seeks a Payroll Administrator for payroll processing to fill a role with a company in the Energy/Natural Resources field. This Payroll Administrator opportunity is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a short-term contract / temporary role.

Major responsibilities

  • Reconciling of employee deductions and other liabilities
  • Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations
  • Deliver assistance to payroll with internal and external audits
  • Exercise review and verification of source documents
  • Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary
  • Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities
  • Organize and compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages in order to draft relevant reports
  • Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis
  • Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
  • Guarantee company compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
  • Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data
  • Answer questions and requests related to payroll information
  • Handle specific weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for department heads
  • Secure confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
  • Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
  • Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
  • Previous experience working with filing
  • Foundational knowledge in Third Party
  • Comprehension of Discrepancy
  • Deep understanding of ADP Financial Services
  • Well-founded grasp of Workstation Support
  • Earlier work involving Regulation
  • Skills in Stakeholders

  • Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
  • Mastery of internal controls
