Financial Analyst - Long-term Contract Opportunity Starting Immediately in Toronto, Ontario!
Robert Half is working with a fast-growing, dynamic team looking for a Financial Analyst who will be a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This role is with a company in the Non-Profit industry. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract employment opportunity for approximately 6-9 months, is based in the Toronto, Ontario, area and will require you to work in the office 2 days per week & 3 days remote. You might be right for this Financial Analyst position if you’re looking for work where you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Among the Financial Analyst’s other duties will be advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. Responsibilities:
Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Flexible individual comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations
Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Execute and monitor forecasting reports
Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans
Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
Watch over annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends
Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance
Authenticate routine Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
3-5+ years of related experience as a Financial Analyst
Strong experience with forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
