Description:

Robert Half is partnering with a fast growing organization looking to add a Financial Analyst to their Ottawa location. This is a full-time/permanent position on site.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Corporate Finance, financial planning and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a strong asset
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to research information and develop a solution and/or recommendation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide recommendations to reduce cost
  • Assist with bid scoring and risk analysis and cash flow etc.
  • Validate project monthly closure by reviewing and posting related entries
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
  • Conduct monthly reviews on the project’s earnings and expenditures
  • Develop and maintain written project policies and procedures
  • Contribute to project planning and support as required
  • Perform variance analysis, KPI review
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data
  • Perform fixed assets continuity schedule and other various monthly reconciliation and journal entries
  • Participate in special projects and support the budget and forecast preparation
  • Identify issues and proactively initiate analyses/solutions
  • Work on implementation of a variety of projects as needed
