We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with exceptional written and verbal communication skills to join our Planning team. In this role, you will work with multiple internal and external customers, and work within the team to maintain open communication with multiple departments.
Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for day-to-day support and monthly reporting for the Planning department. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and process utility invoices in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Maintain and validate financial models with the latest data to ensure the accuracy of various forecast and reports
  • Prepare month-end journal entries with accuracy
  • Provide support for the development of annual utility budgets
  • Review and approve external tax consultants’ appeal recommendations on property tax
  • Various ad hoc projects & analyses as requested by management

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
