QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting designation required; CPA-CA is required.
  • Experience working as a Financial Analyst in a public company or media/studio production is preferred.
  • Highly analytical and effective communicator

Job Description

  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations to identify potential issues or risks, partnering with finance team to resolve.
  • Review of monthly and quarterly financial results, including detailed B/S and P&L analytics for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare working papers to support third-party participations payables, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and maintain Investment in Film-related journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Analysis of production financing structures as it relates to the impact of legal entity accounting and intercompany eliminations.
  • Assist with monitoring the month-end close process.
  • Manage legal entity accounting and transfer pricing adjustments for statutory reporting and tax compliance.
  • Preparation of working papers and analysis to support quarterly reviews and annual audits by external auditors.
  • Coordination of internal, external, and statutory audits
  • Researching new financial disclosure requirements; assessing and documenting the impact on the Company
  • Prepare production workbooks for the active shows and analyze the activities for the period to notify corporate accounting team with adjusting entries.
  • Assist with system improvements and automation of financial reporting processes and reconciliations

Responsibilities:

WildBrain is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team! Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, you will have overall Corporate Accounting responsibility supporting efficient and timely period-end reporting, preparing key G/L account reconciliations, and preparing legal entity statements.
