Description:

Avid Core is seeking a mid-level Financial and Budget Analyst/Project Management Specialist with strong financial analysis experience to support a federal government client in Washington, D.C. We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented person interested in supporting an international global security program.
The position offers hybrid work flexibility, working from a home location and client location with the expectation of attending meetings at the client site in D.C. as required.

Salary Range: $85,000-$125,000, based on experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of financial and budget experience supporting a Federal Agency
  • Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Exceptional editing and financial data analysis skills to ensure deliverables submitted to the client for final approval are error-free
  • Experience with WebEx, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
  • Knowledge of SAP, Maximo, TRIRIGA, or other similar programs supporting federal agencies
  • Ability to obtain public trust security clearance

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or similar field.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the federal client with financial analysis and program management
  • Supports the tracking of all funds related to program execution pertaining to the annual spend plan
  • Drafts financial reports as needed
  • Develops and improves current Business Processes
  • Conducts burn rate analysis and tracking of expected costs
  • Supports the planning and execution of acquisition activities in support of the Directorate, while managing within established cost, schedule, and performance thresholds
  • Supports the program’s acquisition project lifecycle processes and artifacts to ensure all requirements for the program have been met in accordance with the spend plan
  • Supports efforts to track cost, schedule, performance, and risk management
  • Supports the development of program out-year budgets
  • Assists with updating and maintaining cost estimates and related documentation
  • Carries out other responsibilities as assigned
