Description:
Avid Core is seeking a mid-level Financial and Budget Analyst/Project Management Specialist with strong financial analysis experience to support a federal government client in Washington, D.C. We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented person interested in supporting an international global security program.
The position offers hybrid work flexibility, working from a home location and client location with the expectation of attending meetings at the client site in D.C. as required.

Salary Range: $85,000-$125,000, based on experience and qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- 5+ years of financial and budget experience supporting a Federal Agency
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
- Exceptional editing and financial data analysis skills to ensure deliverables submitted to the client for final approval are error-free
- Experience with WebEx, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
- Knowledge of SAP, Maximo, TRIRIGA, or other similar programs supporting federal agencies
- Ability to obtain public trust security clearance
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, or similar field.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the federal client with financial analysis and program management
- Supports the tracking of all funds related to program execution pertaining to the annual spend plan
- Drafts financial reports as needed
- Develops and improves current Business Processes
- Conducts burn rate analysis and tracking of expected costs
- Supports the planning and execution of acquisition activities in support of the Directorate, while managing within established cost, schedule, and performance thresholds
- Supports the program’s acquisition project lifecycle processes and artifacts to ensure all requirements for the program have been met in accordance with the spend plan
- Supports efforts to track cost, schedule, performance, and risk management
- Supports the development of program out-year budgets
- Assists with updating and maintaining cost estimates and related documentation
- Carries out other responsibilities as assigned
