REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant working experience in finance.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management and organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with BAS & Payroll Tax lodgement and FBT returns is desirable.
    Experience with in-house accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes such as accruals, prepayments, and depreciation calculations.
  • Preparing financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • General ledger maintenance, posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Accounts payable tasks including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  • Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Providing support for tax compliance.
  • Liasing with other departments, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
