POSITION SUMMARY

Creatively translate business and industry market requirements into conceptual designs for the development of financial application solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer science, information science, information systems, or related area, or equivalent experience in a Business Analyst role
• In-depth knowledge of Financial operations and processes
• Experience with retail, wholesale and/or manufacturing industry IT systems experience will be an asset
• Solid understanding of all phases of the software development cycle
• Strong overall understanding of database structure is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Presentation skills
• Time management skills
• Strong Skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Plan, Database Tools
• Asset to possess an understanding of SQL, EDI, and client server background, and Windows.
• The ideal candidate will excel at providing both highly analytical and creative ideas applied to the product design
• Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud base applications a bonus

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of proven Business Analysis and Application experience with key accounting processes (Payables / AP invoice Matching / Receivables / Payments / Journal Entries) and report preparation (Financial Statements / Trial Balances / Budgets) .
• Experience with EDI Inbound transaction processing will also be a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

• Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en informatique, en sciences de l’information, en systèmes d’information ou dans un domaine connexe, ou expérience équivalente dans un rôle d’analyste commercial.
• Connaissance approfondie des opérations et processus financiers
• Une expérience des systèmes informatiques dans le secteur de la vente au détail, de la vente en gros et/ou de l’industrie manufacturière est un atout.
• Solide compréhension de toutes les phases du cycle de développement d’un logiciel
• Une solide compréhension générale de la structure des bases de données est requise
• Excellentes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite
• Compétences en matière de présentation
• Compétences en gestion du temps
• Solides compétences en Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plan de projet, outils de base de données
• Compréhension de SQL, de l’EDI, de l’arrière-plan du serveur client et de Windows est un atout.
• Le candidat idéal excellera à fournir des idées hautement analytiques et créatives appliquées à la conception du produit.
• La connaissance des applications DevOps et Cloud est un atout.

• Gather requirements from multiple sources (customers, product owner, market research, business process descriptions and other sources) and use them in the product design
• Collaborate with both the product development team and product managers
• Work within a product development team using an agile methodology to help define application solutions’ scope, objectives, business functionality.
• Write white papers, functional specifications and define test scenarios
• Develop and maintain Regression Tests for every product release
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Evaluate user experience from customer perspective
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with the product development team and the product owner to analyze needs and formulate suggestions and alternative solutions.
• Match business problems with selected solutions to gain buy in from both the technical team and product owner.
• Participating as a member of a scrum team with an interest and focus on continuously improving the process
• Present financial application features, as required
• Collaborate with Professional Services team during implementations/upgrades
• Provide estimates for customization, find workable solutions for the Customer specific requirements,
• Evaluating reported bugs, analyzing user feedback and usage patterns to make decisions on how to improve our products
