Description:

The role of a Financial Controller is crucial for the overall financial management and corporate strategy. The responsibilities of the Financial Controller are a combination of technical, management, and strategic skills, as well as an understanding of the market and specific regulations and internal control procedures. The Financial Controller is expected to be proactive, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment and teams.
This role, formally reporting to the Head of Finance in Argentina, will on a monthly basis report the results to the Betsson Group consolidation function in Malta.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the general accounting functions of the Argentinian (local) entities, including but not limited to, ensuring that the local are accurately maintained and reconciled, and all required regulatory reporting requirements are honored.
  • Responsible for the month-end accounting procedures and reconciliations of financial data flows.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for the local entities.
  • Ensuring efficient local and regional tax planning and business compliance with tax, regulations, and internal group policies.
  • Working closely with the central and regional commercial, operational and finance teams and third-party outsourced consultants.
  • Handling relationships with vendors, banks, other financial institutions, regulatory bodies etc.
  • Preparing cashflow forecasts, and working capital for the Argentinian companies
  • Analyzing actual performance compared to business plans and setting of annual budgets.
  • Managing the process of financial statements preparation and submission including the coordination of statutory audits for local entities.
  • Liaising with the central finance team and the regional finance teams in the LATAM region and third-party consultants, ensuring ongoing communication, regarding the regional performance and all financial reporting matters. Assisting in ad-hoc reporting.
  • Maintain an assertive, respectful, diligent, and effective communication, either written or spoken with external parties such as vendors, merchants, or outsourcing companies, as well as with internal users such as managers, team members and any company’s employees.
  • Maintain strictly confidentiality of information.
